Individual Graduation Plans

What is an IGP?

An IGP is an Individual Graduation Plan! Yes, we are already thinking about graduation!

8th graders and their families meet with a school counselor to discuss how to match their career goals to their high school courses. They will also discuss opportunities available to them.

IGPs help students create a personal plan for their high school experience and future goals beyond.

Graduation Requirements

To be eligible to receive a South Carolina High School Diploma, students must earn 24 units/credits. The requirements to receive a South Carolina High School Diploma for students in grades 9 through 12 are prescribed as follows:English 4 Units
Mathematics 4 Units
Science 3 Units
US History & Constitution 1 UnitEconomics ½ Unit
U. S. Government ½ Unit
Other Social Studies 1 Unit
Computer Science 1 Unit
Physical Education (PE) or JROTC 1 Unit
Foreign Language or Career and Technology Elective 1 Unit
Electives 7 Units

Total Required 24 Units
