Mrs. Michelle Hammond

Hi,  My name is Michelle Hammond and I am one of the 7th grade school counselors at Tanglewood Middle School. I was raised here in Greenville and am proud to say that I attended Welcome Elementary, Tanglewood Middle and Carolina High School.  It makes me happy to be back here at Tanglewood giving back to the community that gave so much to me.

After completing my BS degree in Education at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, I continued at Clemson University to earn my MEd in School Counseling.   Go Tigers!!! I was a Literature/ELA teacher for 11 years and have been a School Counselor here at Tanglewood for the past 15 years.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, William for 25 years and have two sons and one daughter.  Ian is a High School Music Teacher at a private school in Columbia, SC, Isaac is a Senior at Anderson University  and Isabella is waitressing at Eggs up Grill and plans on getting her Nail certification this year.

I love working at Tanglewood and look forward to meeting all of my students and parents this year.
