The child is harming themselves

The child gives the School Counselor permission to share the information with another trusted adult

All small group participants' parents must sign consent for them to participate in group counseling. In addition, the group members themselves, must sign a confidentiality agreement prior to the start of the group.
General information that a student shares with me may be used to facilitate conversations with his/her educational team if appropriate. However, personal information is protected under their confidentiality rights except for situations noted above.
