Homecoming Dane - Riverside High School held its annual Homecoming Dance Saturday Night at the Greenville Convention Center. Special thanks to all that organized and ran the event. It was a beautiful location and students had a great time.
Congratulations to the Riverside High School Pride of Riverside Marching Band as it finished fifth overall and third in Class V Saturday at Pendleton High School. The Pride of Riverside earned the best Visual Score Overall and made the finals. Congratulations to the all members of the marching band and to Band Director Kris Bence.
Congratulations to the Riverside High School Speech and Debate Team for winning the 38th Annual Bob Jones Academy Speech and Debate Invitational held at Bob Jones Academy Saturday. The event featured teams from Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and across South Carolina. In addition to winning the overall sweepstakes award, several students won individual championships. Treesa Abraham was a double champion in Expository Speaking and Original Oratory. Sashwath Sivaraman was a double champion in Extemporaneous Speaking and Impromptu Speaking. The team of Jose Pena-Farias and Joshua Maxwell won Duo Interpretation. Other event champions include Juliana Lopez Africano in Novice Reading, Navmika Anish in Novice Impromptu Speaking, Valeria de la Llave in Dramatic Interpretation, Joseph Liu in Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate, Dante Rementeria in Program Oral Interpretation, Brooke Stuart in Declamation, and Kai Tucker in Prose/Poetry.

5 Days till Opening Night - The Riverside High School Drama Department is producing "Peter Pan" for a two-night showing on October 24 & 25. Both shows will begin at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are $5 at the door.
