Parents - Please make sure you have created a "Parent" Backpack Account so you may have access to your student's academics, attendance and other accounts. This is also one of the major avenues in which the school communicates with parents. Some parents are not receiving communication through Backpack.This may be due to your notification settings. log you’re your Backpack for Parents account and check notification settings and turn the notifications on.
College Application Day - Riverside High School College Application Day has been rescheduled! Students that were already signed up to attend the original event on October 1 do not need to sign up again. Any senior that did not originally sign up, is welcome to sign up and attend. On Monday, October 21, school counselors and college representatives will be available in the Riverside High School Media Center to assist students in completing college applications during 1st and 2nd blocks.
Red Ribbon Week - Riverside High School will host its annual Red Ribbon Week (sponsored by PTSA) during the Week of October 21. Please see the attached graphic for all information regarding Red Ribbon Week.
Fall Semester Exam Schedule - Please see the attached exam schedule for all End of Course and Final Exams.
Makeup EOC Exams - If a student misses their scheduled EOC Exam, they should be prepared to take that exam the following day.
Virtual School EOC Dates - 12/3 (English 2 Writing), 12/5 (English 2 Reading), 12/10 (Biology 1), 12/11 (US History), 12/12 (Algebra 1)

Academic Time - Riverside High School will begin hosting Academic Time (tutoring) on Tuesday, September 3 from 4-5 p.m. Academic Time will be held every Tuesday & Thursday from 4-5 p.m. on the "G Hall". Students that wish to attend must be signed in by 4:00 p.m. or they will not be allowed to attend.
Pay close attention to the attendance policy. RHS is on a block schedule, therefore students are allowed 5 absences for a semester class and 3 for quarter class.
A reminder that All Early dismissal requests must be submitted by 12:00. The Google form will not be monitored after 12:00 pm. each day.
ALL dismissals will be processed in the order they are received. We CANNOT accommodate requests made for immediate dismissal.
Parents/guardians must come into the school if a student needs an immediate dismissal.
All early dismissal requests must be entered AT LEAST 1 hour before a student needs to leave.
