Welcome to 2026!
It is a new year! And with it, maybe some new resolutions?? If you’re a regular PTSA volunteer, can we count on you to resolve to continue giving your time to RHS in 2026? And if you’re currently not volunteering, would you consider resolving to step into a new volunteer role this year? Whether it’s simply an hour of your time or an item donation, we can always use the support. Join our volunteer distribution list HERE if you aren’t already receiving our needs via email.
We are already kicking off our sign-ups for volunteers to provide either food or their time for the annual Staff Appreciation Souper Bowl Luncheon in early February. Please consider visiting our Sign-Up Genius to volunteer, as this event is a staff favorite.
The school store continues to be extremely popular with the kids, but it’s the fact that our volunteers are willing to give up a few hours of their time each day that makes it so successful. Please help us keep the store open every day and give relief to some of our regular volunteers by signing up for a shift in our School Store. All of these funds go directly back to our students and staff through school improvement initiatives.
Speaking of improvement initiatives, the PTSA is happy to report the completion of the irrigation installation at the main office entrance. This will relieve our grounds crew from having to hand water plants.
As for student initiatives, the PTSA continues to support your kids through EOC Testing incentives. If your student passed an EOC test last semester, they will be awarded a candy bar. If they received a C or above, they will receive at least one chance to win one of two sets of Apple Airpods Pro 2. Winners will be announced soon and we will do the same for all EOC Tests at the end of this spring semester, as well. We also celebrated our students’ and staff’s performances on the annual GCS School Report Card with a free cup of Dippin’ Dots for each student and a luncheon for our teachers and staff. And we provided Student and Teacher of the Month gifts for the year.
The PTSA, in partnership with the Red Cross and NAMI Clubs, is also proud to announce that we donated 1400 pounds of food to local GCS students and their families thanks to your support of the Battle of the Bins donation drive.
Our monthly Board meetings are always open to PTSA members to share insights, ideas, etc. We meet the last Tuesday of every month at 9am and would love to have you join us. Minutes of these meetings can be found on our website HERE.
Thank you for your continued time and generosity,
Keri Dille
PTSA President
