Greenville County Schools first day of school for the 2025-26 school year is Monday, August 11, 2025.
All students who are new to the district should be registered before the first day of school.

Mark Your Calendar - Please see the attached graphic for all important dates to mark on your calendar for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. More information will be released as each date gets closer; however, for your planning purposes - please save the dates. Please add that Underclassmen Photos will be taken on Friday, August 15.
Back to School Orientation
Back to School Orientation
Riverside High School will host its annual Back to School Orientation on Wednesday, August 6. Orientation is for students only. Parents do not need to attend.
Freshman Class ~ 9:00-11:30 a.m. (Please note that the Freshman Class will be required to stay the entire time as students will be taken through a "mini" school day.)
Senior Class ~ 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Junior Class ~ 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Sophomore Class ~ 3:00-4:00 p.m.
Makeup & Virtual Student Orientation Date ~ Friday, August 8 ~ 10:00-12:00 p.m.

RHS is on a block schedule, therefore students are allowed 5 absences for a semester class and 3 for a quarter class.
