The School Counseling Department will host Senior Meetings on Wednesday, August 27 in the Auditorium to discuss important information for the year, including senior IGP meetings, ordering graduation supplies, senior dues, college applications, and scholarships. The student meeting will take place during Advisory, and all seniors should attend. The parent/family meeting will be at 6:30 pm. The same information will be presented at each of these meetings, and the presentation will be posted to the RHS Senior website.
Please be sure that you carefully review the Orientation Packet document that was given to you/your student at Orientation. As a reminder, the hardcopy of the Student Emergency Form must be returned to your Advisory teacher during the first week of school. Also, all students must complete two required Google Forms (the Student Handbook Disclaimer and the Chromebook Agreement Form). All students should check Backpack on Monday morning prior to the start of school to access their most updated schedule as some adjustments are still being made to fix scheduling errors and ensure classes are not over maximum capacity.
Due to the restrictions implemented by the State, electronic devices, including smartwatches and accessories, cannot be worn during the school day.
Personal electronic devices must be either turned off or silenced during the school day and must be placed in their bookbag.

Sign-Up Information for students who are homeschooled and live in the Riverside High attendance area:
Review the linked information provided on Greenville County Schools’ website regarding PSAT/NMSQT sign up for homeschooled students. After reviewing the provided information, email Anna Chappell, Test Coordinator, at achappel@greenville.k12.sc.us to schedule a time during the sign up window to bring documents and payment to Riverside. August 26 (3:30 pm) is the last day to sign up.
Please see Greenville County Schools' Dress Code Policy. Please ensure your student is dressed properly each day when they attend school. Please review the district's discipline policy with your student.
Please take the time to create a backpack account for parents. A backpack for parents account provides parents, guardians, or contacts with a central place to sign in to do the following:
View their student's information including demographics, attendance, classes, grades, lunch balances, and test scores
Apply or register their student to Special Focus schools and programs (Fine Arts Center, Career Centers, etc.)
Receive alerts and notifications regarding their students
View their student's school and contact information
Manage parent and contact information for their students
To create your parent backpack account follow the attached directions. Please note that parents only need to create a backpack account once. This is not an annual process.
Pay close attention to the attendance policy. RHS is on a block schedule, therefore students are allowed 5 absences for a semester class and 3 for quarter class.
