It’s a new year! And with it, maybe some new resolutions?? If you’re a regular PTSA volunteer, can we count on you to resolve to continue giving your time to RHS in 2025? And if you’re currently not volunteering, would you consider resolving to step into a new volunteer role this year? Whether it’s simply an hour of your time or an item donation, we can always use the support. 

We are already kicking off our sign-ups for volunteers to provide either food or their time for the annual Staff Appreciation Souper Bowl Luncheon in early February. Please consider visiting our Sign-Up Genius to volunteer, as this event is a staff favorite.

And if you check out our current Income and Expense pie charts, you will see that the School Store has already surpassed our budget of $25K in income that was originally set for the entire year! The store is so popular with the kids, but it’s the fact that our volunteers are willing to give up a few hours of their time each day that we have hit these record sales numbers. Please help us keep the store open every day and give relief to some of our regular volunteers by signing up for a shift in our School Store. All of these funds go directly back to our students and staff through school improvement initiatives.

Speaking of improvement initiatives, the PTSA is currently receiving quotes to have irrigation installed at the front office entrance of the school. Our grounds management spend hundreds of hours hand-watering the plants and grass, a job we hope to relieve them of since it gets very difficult during the summer months. As for student initiatives, the PTSA continues to support your kids through EOC Testing incentives. If your student passed an EOC test last semester, they will be awarded a candy bar. If they received a C or above, they will receive at least one chance to win one of two sets of Apple Airpods Pro 2. Winners will be announced soon and we will do the same for all EOC Tests at the end of this spring semester, as well. 

Our monthly Board meetings are always open to PTSA members to share insights, ideas, etc. We meet the last Tuesday of every month at 9am and would love to have you join us. Minutes of these meetings can be found on our website HERE.
