Course Description
Grades 9 - 12
This is an advanced-level course for in-depth approaches to solving two and three-dimensional design problems. Emphasis is on the individual development of craftsmanship and personal expression. Advanced approaches to drawing are stressed. Other techniques explored may include but are not limited to painting, printmaking, design, mixed media, ceramics, and sculpture. Students in this course will be required to work with more intensity, at a deeper level, and produce a wider range of more difficult and complex material.
Pre-requisite: (1) Complete Art 1 or Art 2 Honors and/or (2) Obtain a teacher recommendation
Art Fee:
Students will be required to pay a $15 Art fee. This fee will be used to purchase supplies needed to create the projects within the course. This can be paid on Schoolbucks.
Supplies Needed:
These supplies are for the students' own personal use. Only the student purchasing these items will be allowed to use them. They are meant to be kept in the student’s personal art drawer or inside of the student’s bookbag. I am requiring these basic supplies so that students may complete their homework or finish projects at home if needed.
