Hello 5th Grade Families,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I am so excited to begin this journey with you and your children. I know it will be a year full of learning, growth, and wonderful memories.

Although it feels like just yesterday, I began my teaching career in 1993, working with 6th graders in Panama. Since then, my career has taken me to New Mexico, Virginia, Germany, North Dakota, Texas, and Maryland, where I have taught 5th grade, 6th grade, and Special Education. In 2019, I moved to Greenville and was married right before the pandemic. I have truly loved becoming part of both the Greenville community and the Sara Collins school family!

I hold a Master’s degree in Elementary Mathematics and an endorsement in Special Education. In addition to teaching, I direct the Extended Day Program (EDP), where I enjoy working with students from all grade levels. Watching them grow academically and socially has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

Outside the classroom, I am a big sports enthusiast. I cheer passionately for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Minnesota Vikings, and I also proudly support my husband’s alma mater—the Clemson Tigers. My husband and I are also obsessed with our new granddaughter who was born in February.
