Every fall semester, my Principles of Engineering Honors class uses their problem solving and basic woodworking skills to complete a project to meet a need or enhance a program within our school community.

Coach Goff approached my class about constructing medal podiums for a home wrestling tournament. In our initial interview, Coach Goff shared with us his vision of the podiums and also what weight requirements we would need to meet.
In preparation for the 12 Angry Jurors production this past fall, our Theater teacher, Mrs. Martin requested assistance on calculating the angles and constructing the supports for her set flats.
This student combined his passion for playing cello in our Strings class with his knowledge and wood working ability to design and construct an instrument storage rack for his section.
For our inaugural Give Back to GHS project, we built and donated two sets of cornhole boards to be utilized and enjoyed in PE's Tailgating unit.
