Orchestra Leadership Council

The purpose of the Orchestra Leadership Council is to provide a framework for social engagement within the Riverside High School Orchestra. Making music with others is a social experience, and the better we are at engaging with each other, the better we will be as an ensemble.

All members of the council are expected to:

Attend meetings
Attend all social events.
Be committed to working as a team, rather than as individuals

Orchestra Council Co-Chairs

Activity Director

In charge of Orchestra council and making sure all projects/activities are running smoothly

Communicates logistics of events to orchestra council members
Ensures other Council members are fulfilling their responsibilities
Sets meeting dates and times, sets dates and times for orchestra events
Writes meeting outlines with the Clerk

Lead Orchestra Council meetings
Lead Orchestra Council events/ activities
Speaks on behalf of the council at strings events

Logistics Director

Develops activity/ outreach ideas
Assigns roles in planning events/ activities
Brings ideas from other orchestra members to Orchestra Council meetings
Lead Orchestra Council meetings
Lead Orchestra Council events/ activities
Speaks on behalf of the council at strings events

Clerk- Lauren Yoon

Presides over the meeting
Records contents of each Orchestra Council meeting
Sends messages to orchestra members through remind
Create and manage sign-ups for Orchestra events
Records notes for any activity the Chair requests, if needed
Helps logistic focused orchestra co-chair type/come up with meeting outlines

Collects photos taken at orchestra events by orchestra members
Establishes community on the strings instagram
Creates instagram graphics
Are the only people logged into the strings instagram

Communicates deadlines through instagram
One of the two people logged into the strings instagram
Helps social media creativity director create graphics

Orchestra Council Members

Contributes to Orchestra Council meetings discussion
Aides other members with their responsibilities
- Members will be assigned a Chair to help with responsibilities
Comes to all Orchestra Council events they are able to come to
Encourages participation in Orchestra events
