Medication Information

Dear parents.

My name is Felicia Spruill and I am the school nurse at Alexander Elementary. In order to provide the best care for your child I will need to know is if your child has a medical condition? If so, we can come up with a plan to keep your child safe and healthy. Moreover, If your child has a medical condition that require him/her to have emergency medication at school, please let me know. I am able to store the medication in the Health Room along with appropriate documentation.

Make sure any over the counter medication is “age appropriate” for your child. I must abide by the manufacture guidelines for dosage administration.

Prescription medications will need an authorization form completed by your child's physician in order to administer medication.

Do not send any over the counter medication, including cough drops, or prescription medication to school with your child. All medications are to be brought into the school by a Parent/Guardian or designated adult. Forms will need to be filled out and signed in order to administer medications to your child.
