RAM READY FRAMEWORK
Make-Up Work Policy
Students are permitted to complete any missed work resulting from an absence within five (5) school days of their return, without academic penalty. Students are responsible for initiating communication with the instructor and completing all make-up assignments within the designated timeframe, in accordance with district policy.
Work not submitted within the five-day window will be classified as late and subject to the late work policy outlined below. A temporary grade of zero may be recorded until the assignment is submitted and assessed.
Late Work Policy
Students who demonstrate consistent academic engagement may submit late assignments that are fully completed, subject to a 10-point daily deduction for up to four (4) school days past the original due date. All late work must be submitted no later than five (5) school days prior to the end of the grading quarter, with a maximum attainable score of 60%.
Please refer to the individual teacher syllabus for specific homework policies and procedures.
Major Assessment Retake Policy
Students may retake one major assessment per unit, provided the following criteria are met:
No outstanding assignments (zero grades) exist within the current unit
Completion of teacher-assigned remediation activities (refer to individual teacher syllabus for specific requirements)
Additional Guidelines:
Retake assessments may vary in format and content from the original assessment
All retakes must be completed before the conclusion of the subsequent unit
The higher of the two assessment scores will be recorded in the gradebook
