Program Description:
STAR stands for Students Taking Academic Responsibility.
Students will be in the 7th grade 1st semester. With my help and students' hard work, they must make at least a B average in every class in order to move on to the 8th grade 2nd semester.
STAR students will complete both 7th and 8th grade in one academic year so they can move on to high school next year with their peers.
STAR students are also expected to be "stars" in their behavior as well as in academics. In order to stay in the program STAR students must follow school expectations and behaviors. This means STAR students should not have any referrals. Any referrals earned will require a conference with the student and/or parents in order to stay in the program.
