A little bit of history about Mrs. Martin:
I taught mostly high school for the majority of my teaching career in Princeton, West Virginia (PikeVIew High School). The classes I taught there included U.S. History, Advanced Placement U.S. History, Psychology, Street Law, and World History (general and honors). I taught in WV for 18 years.
My family and I moved to Mauldin, SC in 2019 because my husband was transferred with his job. We love South Carolina!
I have 2 boys, Mason and Aiden. Mason is 17 years old and attends Mauldin High School as a senior this year (12th grade), and Aiden is 13 years old and attends Fisher Middle School as a 8th grader this year.
I started teaching at Berea Middle in 2020 - I taught 7th grade Social Studies. The next year I taught the STAR Academy in which 4 of the 5 students passed both 7th grade and 8th grade in one school year - they are now in high school! And finally, last year I taught 7th and 8th grade AVID for the first time - we had a great time!
I am so excited to have the STAR Academy again and to be working with the AVID students - we are going to have a great year!
