I was raised in Taylors, SC and proud to say that I am a former student of Brook Glenn Elementary. After graduating high school, I attended Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelors Degree in Special Education. In May of 2008, I completed my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina. I received National Board Certification in the area of Early and Middle Childhood/ Literacy: Reading and Language Arts in 2014. I was honored to serve as Brook Glenn's Teacher of the Year for the 2018-19 school year. I participated in Greenville County School's Impact Leadership Cohort in partnership with Clemson University where I graduated in August of 2024 with a Specialist Degree in the area of Educational Leadership.
I am beginning my 21st year teaching at Brook Glenn. I have taught Kindergarten through 5th grade during my time at Brook Glenn. This school year, I will work with students in grades 3rd through 5th.
My husband and I have been married for almost 21 years. He retired from the SC Army National Guard in 2021. All three of our daughters have birthdays in February, so it is a busy month in our house! This year they are in 10th grade, 6th grade, and 2nd grade. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and cooking.
The Brook Glenn community continues to be an inviting and nurturing environment that I am proud to be apart of. I am so excited about the possibilities this year will bring and look forward to many more years to come.
