¡Hola! I'm Mr. Rupp

Welcome to Spanish class!

My name is Mr. Rupp, and I'm excited to be your Spanish teacher at Eastside High School.

Before becoming a teacher, I had the opportunity to work in several different careers—including banking, real estate, and even running my own brokerage. I eventually realized that my greatest passion wasn't selling houses—it was helping people learn and grow. Since then, I've taught elementary school, high school, and college Spanish, and I truly believe that learning another language opens doors to new cultures, friendships, and opportunities.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Spanish from Boise State University with only a few courses shy of a double major in Chemistry, followed by master's degrees in Spanish and also in Education. I also spent two years living in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I developed a deep appreciation for the Spanish language and the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.

When I'm not teaching, you'll probably find me spending time with my two kids, working out, coaching volleyball, traveling, hiking, or hanging out with my dog, Callie.

My classroom is a place where students are encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, laugh, and grow. I believe learning happens best when students feel respected, challenged, and supported. My goal isn't simply for students to pass Spanish—I want them to leave class more confident, more curious about the world, and proud of what they're capable of accomplishing.

I'm looking forward to a great year together.
