About Me

My name is Maureen McCuen and I have been at JL Mann since 2014.  Before that, I taught in Virginia for three years, Texas for ten, and six years at another school in Greenville County. I have a B.A. in History from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, and Master's in Education from Clemson.  I am married and have two children who keep me very busy at home.  My daughter is a 2024 graduate of SCAD and currently lives in Savannah. My son graduated from Mann in 2024 and is attending college at USC Upstate.  We also have 2 dogs: a Vizsla (Caera), and a mutt we rescued in June 2016 (Gumball).  We all enjoy the theater and love to watch and play sports, especially football, hockey, and soccer.
