About Me

My name is Maureen McCuen and I have been at JL Mann since 2014.  Before that, I taught in Virginia for three years, Texas for ten, and six years at another school in Greenville County. I have a B.A. in History from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, and Master's in Education from Clemson.  I am married and have two children.  My daughter is a 2024 graduate of SCAD and currently lives in Savannah. My son graduated from Mann in 2024 and is attending college at USC Upstate.  We also have 2 rescue dogs: one we rescued in June 2016 (Gumball), and one we rescued in December 2025 (Fuji).  We all enjoy the theater and love to watch and play sports, especially football, hockey, and soccer.
