Dear Parents!

Welcome to School Year 2024 – 2025!

My name is Joan Marie Alegario and I am delighted to become the mathematics teacher of your child for this school year. I am an international teacher from the Philippines with 13 years of teaching experience. I am currently on my 4th year as a cultural exchange teacher here at Tanglewood Middle School.

I am so excited to impart my knowledge and skills in mathematics as well as share my culture to your child. I assure you that I will give the best of myself in providing fun and meaningful learning experiences that your child will certainly appreciate and love. I will equip them with essential learning by providing a conducive learning environment and ensure that no student will be left behind. I aim that my students will develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, participate actively in class discussions and learn how to collaborate with each other in group activities. You are always welcome to visit our class and see the works of the students.

¡Bienvenidos al año escolar 2024-2025!

Mi nombre es Joan Marie Alegario y estoy encantada de convertirme en la maestra de matemáticas de su hijo este año escolar. Soy un profesor internacional de Filipinas con 11 años de experiencia docente. Actualmente estoy en mi segundo año como maestra de intercambio cultural aquí en la Escuela Intermedia Tanglewood.

Estoy muy emocionado de impartir mis conocimientos y habilidades en matemáticas, así como compartir mi cultura con su hijo. Les aseguro que daré lo mejor de mí mismo para brindar experiencias de aprendizaje divertidas y significativas que su hijo sin duda apreciará y amará. Los equiparé con el aprendizaje esencial al proporcionar un entorno de aprendizaje propicio y aseguraré que ningún estudiante se quede atrás. Mi objetivo es que mis alumnos desarrollen sus habilidades de pensamiento crítico y resolución de problemas, participen activamente en las discusiones de clase y aprendan a colaborar entre sí en actividades grupales. Siempre es bienvenido a visitar nuestra clase y ver los trabajos de los estudiantes.
