I am Joan Marie Alegario, an international teacher from the Philippines. I am currently on my 3rd year as a cultural exchange teacher here at Tanglewood Middle School.
I have been teaching Mathematics for 12 years – 8 years in the Philippines, 2 years in Qatar and 2 years in America.
I am a Cum Laude graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics for Teachers from Philippine Normal University, Philippines in 2011. I also completed my Master’s degree in Master of Science in Teaching major in Mathematics from De La Salle University Manila, Philippines in 2018.

I love to play team sports like volleyball and badminton. I used to watch vlogs and videos on YouTube during my free time. I also love to eat at different restaurants and to travel to various places in my home country and around the world. I have been to amazing tourist spots in my home country like Boracay, Puerto Princesa and Coron Palawan, Davao, Cebu, Bohol, Baguio, Sagada, Benguet, Cagayan de Oro, Camiguin, Bukidnon, etc. I also got a chance to visit the countries of Hongkong, Macau, Singapore, South Korea and Qatar.
Now, I am excited to explore all the states here in America.
I am from a family of 4 and I am the youngest child. I got married last July 21, 2022. and proud to be Mrs. Dela Cruz.
