Winter Concert

 WINTER CONCERT 2025

It is almost concert time! Please make note of the following important dates and times: 

Orchestra ONLY Combined Rehearsal: Wednesday, December 10 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm

Concert: Thursday,  December 11 @ 6:00pm

Students report to the orchestra room no later than 5:30 pm.

Concert Dress:

• Black Dress Pants/Skirt/Dress (No Sweats, Shorts, Joggers, Jeans, Leggings, Holes in clothes)

• Black Top

• Black Shoes and Socks or Tights 

• Concert Attire MUST adhere to the GCS universal dress code.

• Students may wear festive holiday accessories like reindeer antlers, elf hats, etc. as long as they do not prevent students around them from seeing the conductor.

Admission: Tickets will be sold at the door. 

• $5 Single Ticket

• $15 Family Ticket (3+ people - must enter together)

Grades: The concert is the FINAL EXAM and will count for 10% of the final semester grade.  Absences will be excused only for illness or family emergency with a parent note within 2 days of the rehearsal or concert. Students will be expected to take a written final exam on the designated date for the course if they miss the concert.

Students may stay after school on the day of the concert. Students choosing to do so must remain in the orchestra room except to use the bathroom in the cafeteria. Dinner for students staying after school that day will not be provided.

Parent Assistance: Parents help our performances go smoothly! Would you be willing to help sell tickets? Pass out programs? Provide snacks for the after school rehearsal? If so, please contact Mrs. Hastings to let her know how you are willing to help.
