The 8th grade Teen Leadership class is setting up a water balloon dodgeball tournament after school on Wednesday, May 15, at the League Academy soccer field to raise money for the Greenville Humane Society. The tournament will take place on Wednesday, May 15. This is League Academy’s first water balloon dodgeball tournament.

Ms. Franke, Teen Leadership teacher, says, “I think that there will be about 16 teams in the tournament.” There are four people in each team, so there will be about 64 people involved in the tournament. Ms. Franke also says, “I think that students will enjoy the tournament because the 8th grade Teen Leadership class put this together. I think it’s a very unique idea. It’ll also be nice because it’s so hot outside.”

Ms. Franke is planning to have students stay at the end of the school day to help her fill the water balloons. Water balloon dodgeball is just like regular dodgeball, but there’s a “no-throw zone” on the center line, and it will be played in teams of four.

Make sure to sign up for the tournament on Wednesday, May 15! It’s $5 per person or $20 for one team.
