Greenville County Schools Rehabilitation Behavioral Health Services (RBHS) Program provides mental health services in the school setting when school is in session. Because RBHS prioritizes our students' safety, we have compiled a list of resources and hotlines for families and students to access when school is not in session and an emergency and/or safety concerns arise regarding your student.

Your child’s safety and well-being are our top priorities. If you are facing a crisis or need immediate support, please explore the links below for assistance. 


What to do in a Mental Health Crisis if you are worried that your loved one is in or nearing a crisis?  

Seek Help. Make sure to assess the immediacy of the situation to help determine where to start.


If the situation is life-threatening, call 911 Or 988 and ask for someone with mental health experience to respond, like a Crisis Intervention Team.

988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline

Dial 988 or 1-800-273-8255 for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. 988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention  Lifeline (now know as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). When people call, text or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
