Hello and welcome. I am Keith Harris and was originally from Gary, Indiana. We moved to sunny So. Florida, home of hurricanes (football and storms) when I was very young and grew up on the beaches of Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm. I was in Scouting for 24 years. I graduated from Palm Beach Junior College with an Associates degree in Science and later from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a Bachelors degree in the Ministry (major) and minored in Special Education.
My hobbies and interests include hiking trails or just sitting around a campfire while camping in the mountains; bird watching and building bird houses; swimming; fishing; canoeing (I enjoy hand making my own canoe paddles from scratch); throwing tomahawks; attending Indian Pow-Wows; visiting historical sites and just kicking back in a hammock under the trees and reading a book.
I started teaching at Jeaga Middle School in West Palm Beach in 2004, teaching 6, 7 and 8th grade Special Education and Regular Education Science. In 2013 I moved to Nashville, Tennessee where I taught 8th grade science and 9th grade Physical Science. I eventually moved to Greer in 2017. I started teaching at Bryson Middle school in 2018, teaching 6th-8th grade ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies. Last Summer (2024), I moved to Fountain Inn, where I now call my home.
The teachers and administrators here at Bryson Middle are not just professionals in teaching and working with our students, but we are deeply committed to their success and safety as well as focusing on preparing and equipping them for High School and for life. Any time you wish to contact me please feel free to do so.
