About Me

I have taught all levels of Spanish from 1 to AP. I am currently teaching Spanish 1 CP, Spanish 3 Honors, Spanish 4 Honors, and AP Spanish Language and Culture. Spanish is one of the world’s most widely spoken languages, one which is spoken by many residents in the Upstate and worldwide. I love language and culture, and I always enjoy learning something new and trying new techniques. I sponsor Spanish Club and Spanish Honor Society. I truly love my job and the wonderful people that I have the privilege to work with every day.

My family is the most important part of my life. My husband, Shane, and I have two amazing children. Drew graduated from Riverside and was part of the Region Champion and State Runner Up basketball team in 2024. He is now playing basketball as a junior in college. Chloe is a senior here at Riverside and is studying cosmetology. My other pride and joy is Mylo, our family's nine-year-old Havapoo (Havanese/Poodle). My family loves sports and is very active and competitive. My favorite hobbies are working out, reading, and cooking - especially trying new recipes.

I grew up in Greenville and graduated from Eastside High School and then Furman University with a double major in Business Administration and Spanish. I also just earned my Master's degree in Educational Leadership in December of 2025. I worked in the corporate world for over three years and have worked for Greenville County Schools for 19 years. This is my 16th year teaching and my 12th year at Riverside, and I am proud to be a Warrior!
