Introduction: Expectations, Procedures and Benchmark – 1 week

Review: Map, pronunciation, Spanish 1 present and future review; Spanish 2 past tense review – 2 weeks

Unit 1: The Daily Grind – 4 weeks

Unit 2: Concept of Style and Beauty – 4 weeks

Unit 3: The Environment and Us – 4 weeks

Unit 4: Challenges of the Modern World: Health and Hunger – End of semester as time permits

Major assessments = 60% (tests, projects, IPA tasks)

Minor assessments = 40% (quizzes, video questions, in-class assignments, participation, homework, etc.)

Final exam = 10% of course grade

Final grade: 45% = 1st quarter grade / 45% = 2nd quarter grade / 10% = final exam
