Sebaz, the ball python
Conrad, the ball python
Part of the ENSA bee hive (in the media center) -
home to approximately 30,000 bees.
Worker bees bring back pollen to the hive
(the yellow powder on their legs).
Last year, our bees were sadly killed by a parasite (varoa mites), but we have a new colony now that is doing well.
Millipedes - used to teach students about decomposers.
Painted Lady butterflies - the students raise
them from caterpillars and then relase them at
the school. (Caterpillars arrive in the spring)
Animals to come....
Raising trout from eggs (to arrive in late fall) in cooperation with the SC Department of Natural Resources
Raising frogs from tadpoles (to arrive in spring)
Worms, pill bugs, and meal worms (to arrive in spring)
