This is my 22nd year teaching elementary school and my eleventh year as Science Lab teacher at East North Street Academy. During my career as a teacher, I taught fifth grade for four years, fifth grade science for five years, one year of technology (K5-5th grade), and this is my eleventh year as a science lab teacher. I have been highly qualified to teach elementary since 2003. In 2014, I completed a M.Ed. degree in Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) for elementary education from California University of Pennsylvania. I also have a M.A. degree from Furman University and received my teaching certificate training from Furman. My B.A. degree is from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. In 2006, I was awarded National Board Certification for elementary education in 2006, and I have renewed my NBCT status until 2026.
