I have been teaching for 29 years. I previously taught at McCormick School District and then Laurence District 51 before coming to Greenville School District. In Greenville County, I taught at Travelers Rest Highschool (Go Devil Dogs!) for 13 years and the Greenville Virtual Program for three years. I graduated from The University of South Carolina with a BA in English. I graduated from Southern Wesleyan University with a Master of Education.

I have four sons: Devon, Bailey, Prince, and Billy. A beautiful grandson, Zayden. I also have a 10-pound guard dog named Oroonoko "Bestestboy" Young; a 22-pound man-eating cat, Boo "the Gremlin" Young; and the cutest 24-pound puppy in the world, Okonkwo "Bootybear" Young.
