Chemistry was one of the toughest classes for me in both high school and the five (!) semesters I took in college. It is probably my favorite class to teach. It took me a little bit of time to learn to love it, but I do!
If you fall behind or get lost, absolutely no shame! Make sure you try to get caught up as soon as possible. It is a lot like math were it builds on itself and you won't magically understand if you are struggling, you have to work for it.
If you feel lost:
Come to tutoring as soon as possible, sometimes just a little help is all it takes.
Ask a friend for help, whether it is a classmate or someone who has taken Chem before.
