Course Text: Savvas Envision Geometry South Carolina
Students will have online access to the textbook through Savvas Easybridge and will have a copy of the Student Companion workbook. I will have a classroom set of hardback textbooks to use in class as well.

3-Ring Binder, Notebook Paper, Pencils, Calculator
Grading Policy:
Major Assessments (Tests, Projects) = 60%
Minor Assessments (Quizzes) = 30%
Homework = 10%
Homework:
Homework will be given daily, typically on Google Classroom - MathXL through the online textbook. Video explanations and solutions are provided, if needed. If additional help is needed, students are welcome to schedule a time for tutoring.
Tests / Quizzes:
Students will usually have at least 1 test or quiz each week. These will be announced so students can prepare.
Calculators:
As a math department, we recommend that students purchase (if financially possible) a TI-84 calculator. I have some TI-84 Plus calculators that students are welcome to borrow during class if they need to. If you have any questions about the calculators, please feel free to ask.
Classroom Expectations:
1. Be in class on time and prepared each day.
2. Cell phones should not be out during class time.
3. Food and drink are not allowed in class.
4. Be respectful of myself and your classmates.
They are also expected to adhere to the rules in the Student Handbook. The dress code will be strictly enforced. Dishonesty of any kind will not be tolerated. Students are not allowed to go to the restroom during the first and last five minutes of class unless an emergency occurs.
Discipline Policy:
In the even of a student’s misbehavior, the following may occur:
1st offense: Verbal Warning and Discussion
2nd offense: Detention and/or Parent Contact
3rd offense: Detention and/or Parent Contact
4th offense: Referral to Principal
Depending on the student’s previous record in class and severity of the offense, a more severe action may occur than those listed above.
Back Pack:
Parents and students, be sure to check the portal regularly for grades and attendance. Grades will be entered within 7 days of collection and will be ready to view.
