Enrichment classes for 1st and 2nd graders are pull-out classes that meet for 30 minutes weekly. Students are chosen for this class based on teacher recommendation and data collected in the general ed. classroom.

Greenville County has an enrichment curriculum for 1st and 2nd graders called "Let's Think." I helped to update this curriculum a few years ago, and I find it helpful to teach our kids to think outside the box. The curriculum uses a thematic approach to teaching creativity, logical reasoning, vocabulary, mental math, and more! I incorporate games from this curriculum into our time together. Examples of these games include making words, solving mental math problems, listing pros and cons, solving analogies, or figuring out a logic puzzle.
