Hello High Flyer Families, 

My name is Dori Flynn and I am very excited to be teaching your child this year! I have a passion for teaching that makes my job rewarding and filled with joy.   I have been working with children in many different capacities for my entire adult life, but it wasn’t until much later that I discovered the LOVE of teaching in a classroom environment.  

I came to the Upstate eighteen years ago to follow my family; we are a close knit unit, so coming here to be with them was the right choice.  I LOVE living in South Carolina! 

Early on,  I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rhode Island School of Design. However, later, I attended Converse College where I earned a  Masters of Art in Teaching with Teacher Certification in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education.   

I have been married to my  husband Brion for 39 years, and we have two grown sons, Daniel and Jeffrey, a daughter in law Olivia, and a grandson Ezra. We also have two little furry doggy friends that provide us with lots of love and companionship.  

To refuel,  I LOVE to spend quality time with my family, and especially with my grandson, work on artistic projects, quilt, sew, knit, bake, and explore and soak in the beauty and wonder of the natural world.
