"All kids have awesome inside them, it is our job to bring it out! "Kids Deserve It" book
Each day your child will be expected to follow the school rules, as well as the classroom rules that we have created together. Behavior is recorded daily on each child's personal slide chart attached to his/her desk, and on the paper chart in the High Flyer folder. In addition to using the charts, I believe that consistency and positive reinforcement are keY to encouraging cooperative behavior from the children. I offer LOTS of praise and encouragement to build self confidence, and to create a safe and happy learning environment for all.
School Rules:
Be respectful
Be responsible
Be safe
Be kind
Be honest and try YOUR best
Classroom Behavior Chart: The colors below represent your child's behavior for each day and week. Each child has a personal slide chart on his/her desk. Every child begins each day on the color green and moves up or down according to his/her behavior. The color your child earns each day will be recorded by your child on the chart in his/her High Flyer folder. Parents' are responsible to check and initial their child's behavior chart each day. At the end of each week, if your child earns purple for at least 4 out of 5 days in a week, then he/she will earn pink, and a gold coin. Once your child has collected 4 gold coins, he/she may trade these coins for a prize from our treasure box.
