Skyland Elementary Named National Blue Ribbon School

Congratulations to the students and staff of Skyland Elementary on being named a National Blue Ribbon School! Principal Dr. Carolyn Styles commended her staff, saying, “We are passionate about teaching, learning, and serving our children, and we are committed to the highest standards of excellence.”

“I want to extend my appreciation to Dr. Styles for her leadership, to the faculty and staff for their hard work and commitment, to the students for their dedication, and to the entire Skyland community for their support,” said Superintendent Dr. Burke Royster.

Skyland is one of 342 schools nationwide to receive the honor this year. The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools where students achieve very high learning standards or are making notable improvements in closing the achievement gap.
