Greetings Parents and Students, 

As you know, I am Mrs. Dorothy Jackson, and I am teaching 6th grade Social Studies this year at Riverside Middle School. This is my 32nd year teaching middle school. I am from Greenville and grew up there. I attended Donaldson Elementary School, and Beck Middle School. I graduated from Ben Lippen High School. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from USC Upstate and a Master of Arts Degree from Furman University. I am Middle Level Certified to teach Social Studies. This will be my 21st year teaching at Riverside Middle School. 

     I met my husband, Jay, while we were in high school and have been married for 43 years. We have three daughters. I have five granddaughters and two grandsons. 

     My philosophy regarding education is that I believe all children can learn. I also believe in creating, molding, and challenging students to become lifelong learners. My motto is "Never stop learning!" I am looking forward to an exciting year at Riverside Middle! Go Royals!
