When exercising it is important to exercise at a level that you are giving yourself a worthwhile workout. The Borg Scale of Perceived Effort is a good indicator of the level of effort that you are exerting. Students will learn how to calculate their Target Heart Rate so that they will know that the time they invest in exercise is meaningful. When looking at this scale, add a zero to the end of it and that should indicate your heart's beats per minute as you engage in physical activity.
