We would love for you to help us bring the 8 Habits home. Please click HERE for our family 8 Habits Choice Board. You will see just how easy it is to use the 8 Habit language at home and how it can transform your family’s habits and behaviors at home in a positive way. Once you complete the choice board as a family by completing 2 tasks from each section, send it back to any of your children’s teachers, and you will earn a Woodland 8 Habits magnet for your car. We would also love it if you could take a family picture of you all completing one of the Habits and send it to your classroom teacher so that we can celebrate your family on social media and maybe even our school website!

Smart Watch and Cell Phone District and Woodland Policy
“During the school day, students are prohibited from accessing their personal electronic devices, unless authorized for classroom use. Students may not wear or access device accessories during the school day. Students must store their devices and device accessories, in lockers, backpacks, or otherwise as directed by the school district during the school day….”Exceptions include for medical/health reasons in IEP, medical plan, and 504 plan. Also exception for students who are volunteer firefighting organization or emergency organization."
Student/Parent Backpack
A backpack for parents account provides parents, guardians, or contacts with a central place to sign in to do the following:
View their student's information including demographics, attendance, classes, grades, lunch balances, and test scores
Apply or register their student to Special Focus schools and programs (Fine Arts Center, Career Centers, etc.)
Receive alerts and notifications regarding their students
View their student's school and contact information
Manage parent and contact information for their students

Attendance Matters
Below you will find a few reminders to help your child have a successful school year!
School starts promptly at 7:45 AM If a student is not IN THE CLASSROOM at this time, they will be marked absent until their tardy is entered into the system. Showing up on time is key to you students success
No early dismissals after 1:45
School is dismissed at 2:15 PM. Please refrain from using your cell phones during dismissal so that you may be aware and looking for your child in the car loop.
This year, students will only be allowed 10 total absences. Greenville County states that students must be present 170 of 180 days. This can be combination of parent notes, or unexcused absences. A student will be considered TRUANT with 3 consecutive unexcused absences, or 5 total unexcused absences. Chronic absences and tardiness can affect the entire classroom, disrupting the flow of learning. Attending school REGULARLY and ON TIME creates a positive environment for everyone! If a student misses more than 10 days, all additional absences must be medical or principal approved to be classified as an excused absence. We are no longer able to accept text messages or class app messages. Attendance must be communicated through email to your child's teacher, email to Mrs. Rogers, or a physical note in your child's red folder.
Woodland Spirit Rock
The Woodland Spirit Rock is a great way to send a special message, show your school spirit, or send someone a "Happy Birthday"! Did you know that the Rock is also a PTA fundraiser? Funds generated are used to pay for school programs and improvements! Please use the link below to reserve the Woodland Spirit Rock. Will be updated soon: contact front office if needed
