About Me

Professionally

My name is Courtney Lilliston. I am one of the eighth-grade counselors; and the boy's basketball coach at Hughes Academy.

I have been in education for fourteen years and a counselor for nine years. My career as an educator started in Pickens County at Pickens Middle School, where I served as CDF and career teacher. After four years, After leaving Pickens County, I became a counselor for the Educational Talent Search program at Piedmont Technical College (Greenwood, SC).

The grant-funded program allowed me to gain experience working with high school students in grades nine through twelve. My responsibilities included aiding in the college admission process, SAT/ACT preparation, and career readiness. After a year at Piedmont Technical College, I was hired to be the counselor at Donaldson Career Center. I served at Donaldson Career Center for six years before coming to Hughes.; this is my fourth year at Hughes.

BBA in Business Economics from Francis Marion University (2002-2006).

Master of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University (2008-2010).

Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership (2010-2012).

Ed.D in Educational Leadership (K-12) from North Greenville University (2017-Present).
