Greeting from the Ridge!
My name is Mark Holliday and am in my 33rd year teaching, 12th year in Greenville County, and 4th year at Bue Ridge High School. I am a native of Pickens, SC , a graduate of Pickens High School, and am a graduate of Clemson University. In addition to teahing social studies, I am one of the faculty advisors for FCA. As of March 14, 2023, I am a heart transplant recipient and survivor and am extremely grateful and thankful to have a second chance at life..
This year, I am teaching Government and Economics. I look forward to what the 2025-26 school year will bring. My wife, Tina, works for ATI Physical Therapy scheduling appointments. We are empty nesters as both of the boys, (Hunter and Kendall) are on their own and we curently live in the Dacusville community near Easley, SC, and are members of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.
During my career, I have coached football (30 years), wrestling (25 years), track and field (10 years), and baseball (2 years). I was fourunate to be Region I-AA Coach of the Year (Wrestling) in 1998 and 1999, Region I-AAAA Coach of the Year (Wrestling) in 2014, and coach twice in the SCWCA North South All-Star Wrestling Classic in 1999 and 2007. It's easy to be the coach of the year when one has the team of the year and all of the success that came my way was due to having great kids in the program.
IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE ALIVE!!!!!!
