Starting a new weekly grading system this week that involves more than just bring your supplies. The hope is that with new system, students will become more engaged daily. This will lead to better musicianship as individuals and as an ensemble. The rubric is below for reference. It is also in the reference folders of all band Google Classrooms.
Last year, a large number of students used school instruments and I did not provide a lot of information about securing your own instrument. The local stores are listed on the home page as well as other options for securing an instrument. If at all possible, please get an instrument either through rental or purchase. If after talking to the local stores, that option is not possible, you do have the option of renting a school instrument. The cost listed on the contract is for the entire year. Both the completed form, either a paper form or the Google Form below, along with the money, must be turned in before an instrument will be issued. I am happy to help in any way I can so do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns.
