A Backpack for Parents account provides parents, guardians, or contacts with a central place to sign in to do the following:
View their student's information including demographics, attendance, classes, grades, lunch balances, and test scores
Apply or register their student to Special Focus schools and programs (Fine Arts Center, Career Centers, etc.)
Receive alerts and notifications regarding their students
View their student's school and contact information
Manage parent and contact information for their students
School Messenger- Recorded messages are sent out weekly informing parents/students of timely and important events, happenings, news and a variety of valuable information. We often send these out in Spanish for Spanish speakers. Please be sure to listen to messages in their entirety to not miss anything.
Emails and Individual Phone Calls- Emails go out to parent accounts on the Parent Backpack account or as provided to teachers, counselors, and administrators. We will communicate accordingly when these are available. Please make sure phone numbers for parents/guardians are updated annually or whenever a new number is obtained. This is the primary way for us to communicate for general communications regarding any aspect of student performance and school emergencies while in school. This is a priority, and we appreciate your support as we aim to maintain robust lines of communications with our students/parents.
