Berea High School Freshman Academy
Mission:
We provide 9th grade students the skills and content knowledge necessary for high achievement in high school that leads to graduation and post-high school success via a consistent set of classroom procedures, student behavior expectations, and wrap-around supports.
Goals:
Increase the number of students who successfully complete the requirements for promotion to 10th grade by 20%.
Improve End of Course Exam pass rates in Algebra 1, Biology , and English 1 annually.
Facilitate students' involvement in the culture and extra-curricular activities of the school.
The Freshman Academy at Berea High School is a small learning community that strives to provide an environment that advances the success of each 9th grade student. Our Academy provides strategic support for Freshmen from a team of teachers and staff devoted to building structures which facilitate the transition from middle to high school.
