Scholarships

Palmetto Fellows, Life Scholarship

The Lottery Tuition Scholarships available to students that qualify in South Carolina are the Palmetto Fellows and the Life Scholarship. Please see the links below for eligibility criteria. Both are only available for students to use at colleges in South Carolina.

If a senior is eligible for the Palmetto Fellows scholarship, the senior counselor will notify him/her and give them the required forms.

There is no application for the Life Scholarship. It is applied by the accepting college once the student's final transcript has been received and the GPA and test score requirements have been met.

Private Scholarships are given by many different civic organizations and corporations. Students may apply to any scholarships for which they qualify. Most scholarships are available only to seniors who are attending college right after graduation.

Students can go to their Schoolinks accounts in the Backpack portal to see hundreds of scholarships available to them.

Financial Aid and scholarships are also offered through colleges and universities. Parents and students should complete the FAFSA form on the www.fafsa.ed.gov website after October 1 if they are applying for admission the following school year. Please check the college's website for application information from their financial aid office.
