The librarian is here to help you with planning and co-teaching, within the classroom or in the media center, lessons covering reference, research, technology, and literacy. Please contact Susan Toole if you are interested in discussing a lesson or collaborating.
Book Check Out (students)
Students can check out up to three books at a time and the check out time is one week. First grade checks out one book to use in the classroom. Second grade checks out one picture book and one easy nonfiction book. Third through fifth grade students check out three books: 1 fiction, 1 nonfiction, and 1 free-choice.
You can renew as many times as you would like as long as the book is not on hold by another student. You can submit book suggestions for the library to buy on the Request a Book tab.
Library Use
No food or drink (other than water) is allowed in the library.
Chromebooks are available for school-related use only. Students must follow the Greenville County Schools Student Acceptable Use Policy Agreement. Computer games, downloading, instant messaging and personal emails are not permitted.
Books are due back in one week (may be renewed as long as not on hold by another student).
We do not charge late fees, but if a book is lost or stolen, the student is responsible for paying the replacement cost.
Students will receive overdue library material/debt reminders regularly. Overdue/debt notices will be printed and distributed the last week of each grading period.
Students are encouraged to participate in Media Center programs such as book clubs, reading program promotions, Triumph soccer Reading Bingo, Battle of the Books, All-Star Readers, Summer Reading, and other library sponsored events and programs. These reading programs can be found on the library website, or you can check with the library for more info.
