Welcome families! My name is Kathryn Knott and I am so excited to be joining the A.J. Whittenberg family as a teacher this school year! I have been a parent here for several years, but now I get to be a part of both worlds! At my core I am a teacher. I love sharing new things with my students and fostering a classroom environment that encourages questioning, exploring, and trying new things. It brings me such joy to see children learn and grow. AJW is such a special place to be and I am blessed to get to be a part of it!

I graduated from Furman University with a bachelor's in Elementary Education and a master's in Literacy. I taught for five years before staying home to be with my children. I am excited to get back to teaching in the classroom!

My husband, Jeff, and I have three children, Lucas (10), Jackson (9), and Madison Reese (4). When I'm not at school, I enjoy being active, especially outdoors, hiking, running, and occasionally mountain biking. I enjoy reading, gardening, and spending time with my family.
