What if streets were made for people?
All mobility modes share street space equally. There are no dedicated pull-outs or stops, no curbs. Streets are slower, more flexible, and green, planted with vegetation that maximize shade, air quality and the calm that comes with watching leaves blow in the wind...
Most of us know that streets in countries like the US have been designed around cars. More and more communities and researchers alike have been calling for streets to be designed for human, rather than car, use. If streets are designed for people to use, what would you want that to look like? Slower speeds? Safer intersections? No space for cars at all?
