Once approved for VDI access:
On Windows PC or a Chromebook you can use the "HTML" method to access it
Depending on your assignment, go to staff-vdi.greececsd.org using the Chrome browser
Click on "VM Horizon HTML Access" on the lower right of the VM Horizon screen.
For Username, enter staff\first.last (or your full GCSD email address) and your WINDOWS network password then click the green Login button
Click on one of the icons which signify pools of VDI machines. Each pool has a different collection of Windows programs. You may be granted access to more than one pool based on your needs
You should now be be in a live VDI Windows session in a browser tab.
You can expand the view to full screen mode by clicking on the browser settings (3 vertical dots in the upper right --> Zoom --> [ ]). Hover in the upper center of the screen and click the x to exit full screen mode.
Use the pull out drawer on the left of the screen to access options such as entering a ctrl-alt-del and logging out.
OR
You can use the "Windows Client" method to access it
On a district Windows device, open the VMware Horizon Client application
This can be found in the Start Menu if not on your desktop
Double click the icon for to staff-vdi.greececsd.org through the VMWare Horizon Client
For Username, enter staff\first.last (or your full GCSD email address) and your WINDOWS network password then click the Login button

You should now be be in a live VDI Windows session.
When you are done, either Disconnect or Sign out (See instructions below).

STAFF can use the "Android App" method to access it
On a district Chromebook go HERE to download the VMware Horizon Client
Once installed you can go to the App Launcher in the bottom left of the screen and select the Horizon app.
Click on the Servers tab at the top
Select GCSD VDI
For Username, enter staff\first.last (or your full GCSD email address) and your WINDOWS network password then click the Login button

You should now be be in a live VDI Windows session in a browser tab.
You can expand the view to full screen mode by clicking the Maximize button in the top right to make the window fill the screen.
When you are done, either Disconnect or Sign out (See instructions below).
To disconnect select the pull out drawer on the left and select the Plug in the top right of that window.
Disconnect VS Sign Out
DISCONNECTING is similar to you locking your desktop. It will lock the session, but when you sign back in you will pick up where you left off.
At the top of the session, click on the "X" in the top right of the screen
It will ask if you are sure you want to do that, select OK.
This will return you back to your pool of desktops
When you select the same pool again, it will either re-open your session, or may have to enter your password again.
Signing Out will end the session and it will close any applications you had open
Click on the Start Menu
Select your Name
Select Sign Out
